The team represents the country Brazil in international men’s football and is controlled by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the governing body for football in Brazil. In FIFA Confederation Cup, they are the most successful team that bears International shirts with three titles. At continental level, Brazil has won eight Copa América titles.

In four different continents; once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 USA) and once in Asia (2002 S. Are England Out Of The Running For World Cup 2018?

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

If you’re banking on a summer of international football a stones-throw from your home come 2018, you may be better off moving your home (or building a bigger catapult) if discarded paper scraps circulating amongst Fifa’s executives are to be believed.

It’ll be Portugal mortgages for the Football faithful, so long as a note said to have been written by Spanish executive Angel Villa Llona to Mohamaed Bin Hammam (representative for Qatar) is genuine. Saying ‘vamos a ganar’, the note is being interpreted as an admission of collusion between the two nations, who have already been accused of trying to manipulate votes to bring the 2018 World Cup to Spain and Portugal and the following 2022 World Cup to Qatar. However, all promise of sanctions against the countries for their collusion has been dropped by Fifa.

The English bid has been losing popularity and credibility in recent weeks, whilst the Portuguese / Spanish bid gains in popularity alongside the rival Russian bid. The English bid has been particularly harmed by newspaper investigations into the Nigerian and Tahitian members. These Fifa members were filmed selling their World Cup bidding votes to a fictionalised American representative.

David Cameron has pledged to help repair English fortunes, and has been lobbying his fellow world leaders at the G20 world summit, Seoul. He will later travel to Zurich to speak directly with Fifa leaders before the December 2nd ballot that will select the hosting nations of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Having already secured the 2012 Olympics, the United Kingdom sees hosting the World Cup as particularly appealing as it will be able to double up on the development of certain facilities.

The Portuguese/Spanish bid on the other hand would see a new host-nation (The Spanish hosted in 1982) giving a freshness to their bid. With Spain as the current World Champions, their chances are looking especially good. With this in mind, It’s no surprise to see English nationals deserting their homeland and looking into the alien world of Portuguese property finance.

The English football staff have managed to achieve the quarter finals of the Fifa World Cup, will this finally be the year that football comes back residence for the first time since 1966? Regardless of not playing their greatest soccer, England are still in the event and will need to have an important probability of lifting the trophy.

Some would possibly say that I’m biased as I’m from England myself and am an avid England supporter, however I really really feel that 2006 might be the 12 months for our boys on the market in Germany. This may of course be all blown away on Saturday when the crew face Portugal and big Phil Scolari. Scolari has been the manager of the last groups who’ve knocked England out of the final two main tournaments and therefore will pose a big risk to my team. He was the manager of the Brazil team that beat England in the 2002 World Cup and he was and still is the supervisor of the Portugal crew that beat England in the 2004 European Championship. I am hoping that it will be third time fortunate for the English this year.

To say that England are but to peak is a bit of an understatement as they have in truth been properly below par. This could however be fairly a superb factor, what number of times have Germany scraped by to the final phases of the event with out thrilling the crowds?

With Wayne Rooney becoming stronger and fitter this has to be the perfect alternative that England has had for quite some time. There are lots of leaders and potential captains in the English team. Players like John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard would all make worthy captains when David Beckham decides to surrender this role. In addition to potential captains, these gamers are also what I name winners and when push comes to shove hopefully will deliver the goods.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany could show to be the most important dangers to England. After a gradual begin Ronaldo seems to have discovered his scoring boots again and the Brazil team has some nice players all around the park. I’ve to say that I am getting quite bored of them successful nevertheless, absolutely its the turn of England this time around.

Germany have performed some nice soccer on their dwelling turf and appear to building up a head of steam. They might prove quite troublesome to stop and always appear to do well within the World Cup.

Many people would argue that Argentina have most likely played the perfect football to date and that they’re worthy favourites. I must agree with this and simply hope that they have peaked too soon.

It definitely would be a great summer season in England if our group can bring soccer residence to the place it belongs this year. Good luck England.

The Internet Helps World Cup

Spain vs Germany 2010

I really enjoyed the World Cup Semi Final last night between Spain who are the Current Euro Champions against Germany who despite having a young team have been strong throughout the whole tournament, I almost felt I was actually there in the stadium as I my spanish friend was endlessly shouting at the television and thinking he was really the manager.

At the half time break the score was still an agonising 0-0 and during the tv adverts there was a constant push for Internet Marketing of the world cup where so much information is accessible online these days, for example if you had missed any of the previous games you were able to watch them on the internet, being able to view all the live match statistics as well as join an online forum to discuss your own thoughts and post your own comments.

As thousands of people flock to South Africa for the football World Cup we see a huge rise in economy growth and possible boost in future tourism.

Online retaillers have made good use of the internet whilst the World Cup has been on television. Making sure that there site is fully working with SEO to achieve the most custom and sales. Just think how many of those fly sounding trumpets they have sold in South Africa and over the internet. I has certainly made the vuvuzela a well known instrument!

If you are lucky enough to visit Durban I recommend you visit the newly-built Moses Mabhida football stadium, as this was one of the most impressive i saw on tv during the World Cup. My friend was visiting his parents and got to seesaw Spain play there first game against Switzerland which they were to get defeated there..

Talking to a friend after the match who works for a company who specialise in Ecommerce website design he was sure that the Netherlands were going to win the final.

Some of the football sites also have some fantastic web design too!

Italy’s Soccer Future

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Italian Marcelo Lippi has faced a number of soccer pundit jokes this season due to the age of his team.  The Italian team is undoubtedly old, with 30-year old Vincenzo Iaquinta, 31 year-old Andrea Pirlo, 32 year olds Gianluigi Buffon, Gennaro Guttuso, and Antonio Di Natale, 33 year-olds Mauro Camoranesi and Gianluca Zambrotta, and 36-year old Fabio Cannavaro all likely to have to be replaced by Lippi or Azzuri’s next manager by the Brazilian World Cup in 2014.

Lorenzo De Silvestri    Defender     (Fiorentina)    Aged 22
De Silvestri, who stands at just over six feet tall, comes from Lazio, where he recently served as fullback.  After a 2009 move to Fiorentina, De Silvestri has exemplified the form that set him apart whilst playing for Italy’s U16 and U21 teams. With such a solid basis in the skills necessary to become a good fullback, De Silvestri might end up replacing Gianluca Zambrotta for the national team.

Davide Santon        Defender    (Inter)        Aged 19
Able to play down either flank, Santon is a hugely talented young defender who made 28 appearances for Inter this season as well as five appearances already for the Azzuri. Compared by Italian head coach Marcelo Lippi to Paolo Maldini, Santon has fantastic energy and can race up and down the flanks for the full 90 minutes. We can expect to see the immensely talented Santon in the Italy’s next few squads for major finals events.

Mario Balotelli        (Striker)    (Inter)        Aged 19
Although Mario Balotelli can be quick to anger and temperamental, his skill as an attack and winger has given Italy hope for a strong squad when he starts wearing the official italy soccer jersey.  Batelli’s run-ins with both fans and management only serve to distract from his excellent record: the player scored twenty goals in 59 games and notched 6 and 16 for the U21 Italian set. We can expect to see Batelli at the 2012 Euro qualifiers because Italy is going to need a brand new look strike force.

Federico Macheda    (Striker)    (Man Utd)    Aged 18
A fiercely underrated player that has yet to regularly make the first team at Old Trafford, Macheda is set to have a great next season and catch they eye of Azzuri management. Macheda’s strength as a striker coupled with his intelligence gives him a boost in scoring goals. Particularly good with his back to goal, he has already been capped at U21 level for Italy and if he can start to make a bigger impact in the United first team, full honours should soon follow.

Antonio Candreva    (Midfielder)    Udinese    Aged 23
Candreva just may be the only replacement for Italy’s great Andrea Pirlo. The Udinese midfielder follows in the footsteps of Pirlo’s creative play, owning any position on the midfield.
